Truth For Women Mentor Training
Type of Event: Training and Inservice Event Date: Sept. 27, 2014 Event Time: 9am – 12noon Event Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Event Website: https://truthforwomencenter.org Event Description: Training the ladies who mentor other women who are struggling. Will be training them in counseling and teaching decision-making skills using the SPEARS decision-making model. Quote: “I think the biggest thing our mentors struggle with is being confident that their clients can change. In general I think many Christians are adopting the world’s view of problems and possibilities instead of God’s view. I would really like the mentors to learn how to apply your SPEARS worksheet to decision making and to hear some practical things they can say to help their clients move out of the ruts they have settled into. Jo-Anne Russo, Mentor Program Director for Truth for Women Helping others is a tremendous calling and I am so thankful these mentors courageously step out and dig in.
