Love That Acts
Our work is constant, our homes are full. The problems of the poor continue, so our work continues. Yet everyone, not just the Missionaries of Charity, can do something beautiful for God by reaching out to the poor people in their own countries. I see no lack of hesitation in helping others. I see only people filled with God’s love, wanting to do works of love.
This is the future – this is God’s wish for us – to serve through love in action, and to be inspired by the Holy Spirit to act when called.

A Simple Path
Mother Teresa reminds us that while the world’s needs may feel overwhelming, every one of us can still do something beautiful for God. The problems around us may be constant, but so is the invitation to serve through love. We don’t have to join a convent or move overseas—we simply need to open our hearts and hands to the people near us. Whether in our homes, neighborhoods, or communities, we are surrounded by opportunities to act in love. When we are willing, the Holy Spirit will inspire and guide us to serve in ways that truly matter. But this call to love doesn’t come from obligation—it flows from the very nature of God Himself. As Mother Teresa affirms, God doesn’t love us reluctantly or tolerate us with cold duty. His love is full of affection, tenderness, and joy. He likes us. When we receive that kind of love, it naturally spills into action. It makes us want to care, give, and serve—not out of guilt, but out of gratitude. Today, ask God to let His love for you overflow into works of love for others. Let your life become something beautiful for Him. —DH
