Higher Ways, Certain Promises

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth . . . so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

God reminds us that His ways and thoughts are far above ours—higher than the heavens are above the earth. We may not understand His plans, but His purposes are never wasted. Just as rain and snow water the earth and bring life, His Word always fulfills what He intends.
When life feels uncertain or His timing confuses us, we can rest in this promise: nothing He speaks will return empty. Every word will accomplish its purpose, and every plan will prosper in the way He designed. Our role is to trust the One whose ways are higher, knowing He always keeps His promises. —DH
